Ballet slippers.
Leotards and tights are the tools of my trade. Pointe shoes are beautiful, they're also basically paper mâché covered in satin and sometimes dancers go through several pair in a single performance.
You can help keep the toolbox of your favorite dancer (me, I hope) full. Proceeds from Gamble on the Arts go directly to my ballet needs.
Contributions are tax deductible and all sponsors, contributors and supporters are acknowledged at the annual charity event.

Adopt-An-Artist Grant: Alyssa Hyman
Alyssa is in her fourth year as a company member of Ballet Theatre of Maryland and is the inspiration for GOTA.
Culture Award: Charting Careers
Charting Careers inspires youth to discover their power and reach their goals through enriching opportunities. Their award will send a group of students to a BTM Nutcracker performance.
Emerging Artist Award: Amare Thompson
Art is literally everywhere. This year's emerging artist was "discovered" capturing the beauty of Annapolis through his oil paints.
Culture Award: Sevens Foundation
GOTA's 2026 Fiscal sponsor aligned with the event in its effort to bring cultural experiences to underserved communities. Their award will be used to hold a Nutcracker Social and live screening of BTM's Nutcracker.
